Well, we are still here. Since this Mayan thing didn’t pan out, it’s time to catch up on holiday shopping. We might be a little biased, but the gift of a weekend getaway seems to always be a winner. Come see us in 2013.
Wishing you and yours a merry Christmas and happy new year! Cheers!
The end is near, one week away to be exact. Well, according to the Mayans. We plan to celebrate in style next weekend with two nights of boot stompin’ bliss. Enjoy your “last” meal at the famous Royers’ Round Top Cafe ($100 value) and a gift bag upon arrival outfitted with all you’ll need to get you to the other side including a single lily, the musical stylings of a Mayan flute and a set of luggage tags (ensuring you won’t be lost in translation). Those who manage to make it through the night will be treated to two bottles of POP champagne, a 2013 calendar and box of alma seltzer. Cheers to the end of the world as we know it!
$599, plus tax – price includes two nights stay at Round Top Inn, full breakfast each morning, $100 Royers’ Round TOp Cafe gift card, and end of the world survival gift basket.
Book your Mayan chariot by emailing info@roundtopinn.com or call 979.249.3294.
The holidays are a time for giving. Billy Paul and I ask that you please focus on finding ways to give back to our pet community. Share this mission by donating time through volunteering or donating food and blankets to shelters. There are so many needs to be met within any shelter in your city, so let’s think of creative ways to give back!
A favorite of Billy Paul’s and mine is Friends for Life. This local “No Kill” animal adoption and rescue organization in Houston offers many options to help give back during the holidays.
Wherever you live, find ways to bring holiday cheer to the hounds in your life.
My good friend from Allegro Ballet of Houston is hosting a holiday ‘Champagne & Sugar Plums’ fundraiser this Friday at Lakeside Country Club. It will be a fabulous evening full of bubbles and holiday cheer; plus, auction items a plenty. Any event with open bar, shopping and a chance to win a two-night stay at the Round Top Inn provides proof that Santa must be real! Purchase your ticket, grab a glass {or two} and bid on our Round Top Inn auction item.

From the hearts of Texas, to the souls of Sandy, Bud the Pieman Royer continues to be a beacon in our Round Top community. The local cafe will be shipping pies and gift cards to the victims of Sandy for Thanksgiving. You can help by visiting www.RoyersCafe.com and purchasing a gift card they can bring with them to the families.

Long before Antique Week was ever in existence, the Mayan’s predicted the world would come to an end. The time has finally come, and we invite you to celebrate in bucket list fashion the weekend of December 21st with two nights of boot stompin’ bliss.
Enjoy your “last” meal at Royers’ and a survival gift bag outfitted with a single lily, musical stylings of a mayan flute and a set of luggage tags {so no one gets lost in transition}. Survive the night? Wake up to two bottles of POP champagne, a 2013 calendar and box of alka seltzer. Cheers to the end of the world as we know it!

If you’ve perused the November issue of Food & Wine magazine, then you saw our tiny Texas town ranked as one of the best food stops in America! That’s right. Round Top, TX home to 90 people, ranks in Food & Wine Magazine as a dining destination.
We couldn’t have made the list without Bud Royer, owner of Royers Round Top Cafe. His Shrimp BLT, Todd’s Pork Tenderloin and famous pies have been known to make grown men cry tears of joy. Of course, there are a few other Round Top Inn favorites that are not to be missed. The Stone Cellar, our local watering hole, serves up NY style pizza, wine, and beer under the lighted oak trees. Finally, Scotty and Friends adds brand new flavor to your country classics.
These are just a few of our neighborhood joints, so be sure to book your room at the Round Top Inn to explore one of America’s Best Little Food Towns.
